I. Age restrictions
We only accept orders from persons aged 18 or over. By placing an order, you are confirming that you are in this age range.
II. Location Restrictions
We only accept orders from and despatch orders to addresses in Mainland UK. Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Scottish Isles, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Jersey and Guernsey are subject to higher delivery costs. You can get a quote for delivery to these locations by calling our Customer Helpline on (FREEPHONE) 0808 291 2233.
III. Placing an Order
It is your responsibility to check that your order is accurate before submitting it to us. We cannot be held liable for any costs incurred by incorrect orders.
All prices on this website are in pounds sterling. Prices include VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. We take care to ensure that all pricing information on our website is accurate but occasionally there may be an error. If you believe you have been charged the incorrect price, you should contact us and we will refund any overpayment.
V. VAT Exemption
If you purchase an item for your personal use and you are chronically sick or disabled, are a registered charity or you are making the purchase on behalf of an individual who is chronically sick or disabled for their personal use, you may be entitled to purchase the item without having to pay VAT. You will be required to make a declaration to confirm that the VAT exempt status applies. It is your responsibility to give accurate information and to not make a false declaration.
VI. Accuracy of Information
We try to ensure that all information and colours are correct at the time of their publication. However, the representation of colours on your browser may differ from the actual colours of products supplied. Any typographical, clerical or other error is subject to correction without any liability on our part. Any advice or recommendation given on this website or otherwise given to you by us, or any of our employees or agents, is followed or acted upon entirely at your own risk and we are not liable for such advice or recommendation.
VII. Concluding a Binding Contract
When we receive an order from you to purchase items from us, we will confirm that we have received the order by sending an email to the address provided by you in your order. Your order is an offer to purchase an item and will not be binding on us until the earlier of us sending you an email to confirm that we have dispatched that item to you or you receiving the item.
VIII. Postage and Packing Costs
Postage and packing costs will be added to the cost of your order and will depend on the total cost of the items you order, the size and weight of the items and, where delivery options are provided, the option you choose. The postage and packing charge you will pay will be displayed on checkout before you confirm your order to us.
Occasionally we may make goods available for pre-order. If you place a pre-order, we will take payment. If we are, for any reason, unable to supply the order to you, for example, if our supplier is unable to supply us or if the goods/services are not suitable for you, we will notify you and offer you an alternative. If the alternative is not acceptable or available then we will refund the full amount paid.
X. Payment and refunds
In providing payment card details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the card and authorise us or our payment service provider to take payment in full for the items in your order, packing, postage and delivery charges and any other charges that become due to us under these terms. Refunds, if applicable, will only be made using the payment gateway and/or to the card originally used for payment.
We reserve the right to change the specification of items which are required to conform to any applicable standards or legal requirements. We try to have sufficient stocks of goods to meet demand but occasionally, items may be out of stock or unavailable from our suppliers. All items sold through this website are subject to availability. If any of the items on your order are not available we may send a substitute of similar specification.
XII. Delivery of orders
Items will usually be delivered within 14 working days. It is your responsibility to ensure clear access for delivery of these items and we will not be liable for any damage caused by inadequate access. Delivery timescales are estimates only unless you have paid for a ‘Next Day Delivery’ or other premium delivery service (where this is available). If you do not receive your order within 15 days of us confirming your order (or the next day if you have paid for a ‘Next Day Delivery’ or other premium delivery service, you should notify us and we will investigate why you have not received your delivery.
If your item is being delivered using our courier delivery service please note that items will only be delivered to the building’s main access door. It is your responsibility to ensure there is clear access for delivery of your item/s and we will not be liable for delayed deliveries due to inadequate access.
XIII. Notification of errors
You should check the content of each delivery promptly upon receipt. If you believe that items have been sent to you in error, you should contact us immediately.
XIV. Returns / Cancellations and Damaged / Faulty Items
You have a statutory ‘cooling-off’ right, which entitles you to cancel your order within 14 working days of receipt of the goods in your order (certain exceptions apply). You also have rights in respect of items that are damaged on receipt or faulty. Details of these rights and how to exercise these rights are set out in our Returns Policy.
Our maximum liability for our failure to fulfill an order that we are legally bound to fulfill will be limited to the price paid by you for that order.
Health and Safety Warning
Electrical products sold on this website are deigned for use in the UK and, if fitted with a plug, it will be a UK plug. They may not be suitable for use in other countries and you should check with the manufacturer before using them outside the UK.
You should read the instructions that come with the packaging before using the product and observe any specific warnings given by the manufacturer.
Returns & Refunds
Cancelling Your Order
In the unlikely event you aren’t happy with your online purchase, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days from the day you receive your delivery. You then have a further 14 days to return the product.
You can cancel your order at any time before delivery free of charge.
Refunds will be made within 14 days of the return being received by Hook-i Tech. A deduction can be made at the discretion of Hook-i Tech if the the product has been damaged or handled more than necessary. Refunds can only be paid back via the original payment method (i.e the credit card used to place the order.)
Returns must be provided in the original packaging and delivered via a tracked and insured delivery service. We use DHL for all deliveries across the UK and can organise for returns to be collected from your address.
The customer is liable for the cost of return shipping except in cases where the goods are agreed by Hook-i Tech to be faulty. The cost of return shipping for wheelchairs within the UK (excluding highlands/islands) is £25.
Returns must be in un-used condition and supplied complete with all original equipment.
Damaged and Faulty Items
If any item we have supplied is faulty or damaged on receipt, we may ask you to return the item to us for inspection. We will then replace or repair the item free of charge or refund the price you paid for it together with any packing and postage / delivery charges you paid to us for delivery of that item. If you paid for one of the special delivery options such as Next Day Delivery we will only refund the basic delivery charge that would have been payable for that item.

We use DHL Delivery for all orders across the UK. When your order is despatched, you will receive an email with your tracking number enabling you to track your delivery. You can also track your orders after that have been despatched by logging in to Your Account.
All orders are shipped within 1 Working Day where possible, please note that if your order is placed after our daily courier collection your despatch day may be delayed.

Orders £995 and under for UK Mainland addresses the standard shipping cost is £14.99.
